Custom Sewing and Heat Sealing

Are you looking for high quality custom sewn products made in the USA? Let our highly experienced and dedicated sewers make these items. They will care about them as if they were their own. They are technical sewers that can construct everything from a simple bag to complex shapes combining different materials (woven, nonwoven, felt and batting). Large or small items or projects, we can handle them. Let Midwest tackle your custom sewing project.. If you prefer to have your item heat sealed, we can do this, as well.
Custom Fabric Designs

Midwest Filtration can produce custom fabrics utilizing laminating, coating and printing. The laminating can be thermally bonded utilizing heat/pressure and sonics. Coatings include flame retardants, antistatic treatments, hydrophobic/hydrophilic treatments. Fabric can also be designed with custom print designs; wide web and continuous. All these services can be combined to make very unique fabric structures on all forms of fabric types (nonwoven and woven). Many polymers can be treated including Polyester, Polypropylene, Nylon, Bi-Components, Rayons, Cellulose and bends of fiber types.

Midwest Filtration can now provide custom solutions using Nanofibers. Many tough problems in filtration can be solved by utilizing the vast variety of nonwoven/woven filter products in stock and ready to be converted to the needs of the application. By utilizing Nanofibers, the possibilities are even greater with the many custom and unique structures that can be created. These structures can be supplied in rolls, cut to size, bags, tubes, sleeves, etc. for air and liquid applications. Die Cutting continues to be a major focus for Midwest Filtration. Multiple die cutting machines provide flexibility to handle all needs both large and small. High volume die cutting equipment can manage large projects at a low cost. In addition, slitting and re-rolling capability continues to expand at Midwest in handling just about any media required. Whether it be non-woven, woven, felt or batting in Polyester, Polypropylene, Nylon, Rayon, Cellulose, Bi-component, fiber blends, Midwest has the capability to supply it in the form needed.

Wide Slitting Addition

Midwest adds more slitting and rerolling capacity with a new machine capable of handling 131" wide rolls with finished roll diameters of 40". High speed shaftless unwind with excellent tension control provide efficient and quality rolls. This machine adds to 8 other rerolling and slitting machines handling widths up to 160" and finshed roll diameters of up to 56". Thus, Midwest can provide quick and timely responses to requirments for converted rolls.

Fabric Molding and Compression

Midwest adds to its fabric molding capability. Larger size molded parts can now be made. Equipment can now handle a wider range of media types providing better control over dimensional tolerances.

Midwest has now expanded its presence in the water filtration market by producing custom filter wraps. These wraps can be precision cut with compressed edges. This unique capability is provided by the belt driven die press acquired in late 2008.
